What do you think are the most important characteristics of Lola and why?
Lola is a very interesting character in the film "Run Lola Run" with many different characteristics, however I believe her most important characteristics are her determination and the "power" she seems to posess.
Lola has a huge ammount of determination and this is shown first during her phone call to Manni. Lola ensures Manni she will find the money required and for him to wait for her - even though she does not know how she will find the money herself. Through her determination she strives to find the money no matter what it takes and even takes her father hostage during the process.
Lola also seems to posess a certain "power" throughout the film. Lola can be viewed as a strong and fit character or as the "hero", however this is not what is meant by her "power", these points are key characteristics of Lola's character but she also has the unusual ability to be able to smash glass with her scream and also make things go her way. During the third alternative setting Lola's last resort to find the money is at a local casino. Lola does not have the right amount of money to begin with and is not dressed accordingly to enter the casino, however by just plain "luck" or by the "powers" she posess, she gains admittance into the casino. She puts her money on red number 20, first spin resulted in failure, however due to her determination she chooses the same number a second time. The rulet wheel is spun a second time and while it is spinning she screams piercingly smashing glass and the wheel spins to a stop on red number 20. Just a coincidence???? I think not.

Yes, her power seems to a spiritual type of power, or as like you say some "out there" stuff!!!
Lola is the hero character of the film, she saves the life of Manni due to her actions.
