The Blue Man - The first person Eddie meets in heaven is the blue man. The blue man teaches Eddie two very important lessons. The first lesson he learns is that everything is connected and the second is road safety. I believe that eveerything is connected to a certain extent - not every little thing is connected however many things are. I also believe that road safety is important as road safety saves lives. If Eddie knew more about road safety when he was younger than the blue man would not have died the way he did.

I think the safety lesson is a minor one compared with the other lessons in the novel.
But the Blue Man's lesson is a key one - it sets everything going.
